We invite you to savour a unique, unforgettable, timeless experience, surrounded by centuries-old olive groves and stone walls, in a place imbued with the memory of the powerful feudal lineage of the Cerchi dynasty, who lived in the castle in the 12th century and were often frequented by Dante Alighieri. The characteristic beauty of the Chianti hillsides , constituted by the landscape, the climate, the produce and the easy-going way of life reaches the apex of its exclusivity in Villa de' Cerchi.

An old Villa owned by the family of Giuliano Spagnoli and situated on a hill in the heart of the "Chianti Rufina" zone, Villa de' Cerchi is composed of a square-plan manor house with stone walls that rises up above the foundations of the ancient Cerchi Castle, which was badly damaged during a series of battles.

The Cerchi family lived in Acone for several generations in the 12th century before moving to Florence, and the still-extant Renaissance chapel next to the castle is dedicated to the blessed Emiliana dei Cerchi, whose mortal remains are to be found at the Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence.

The Villa complex, complete with swimming pool, is open throughout the year and offers mountain-bike rental and other services to ensure that guests make the most of their stay. Villa de' Cerchi is the ideal starting point for unchallenging excursions – on foot, on horseback or on mountain-bikes in search of fragrances and colours that have been lost elsewhere.
